Why is it that during the time in our life when we're supposed to be the most stylish and trendy we also happen to be the poorest? Like any student/working twenty-something I always find it easy to find cute outfits...just not ones in my price range. Anybody with me?
That's why I put these two looks together. They feature some of my favorite trends for spring, but also inexpensive pieces to boot.
Pastel Color blocking & Shorty Suits
Yes. Congratulations everyone. It's officially totally acceptable to wear a blazer with shorty shorts and high heels. Something I've been doing for quite some time (because I live in Texas and it's hot down here, ladies) but now Burberry, Phillip Lim, and Carven have got my back.
For the poor-starving-artist price range, check out the super cute blazers H&M just came out with like the one below. Also, pastels are making their presence known so get extra trendy points for rocking some pasty hues. Double extra points for colorblocking 'em.

Floral Infinite Remix
If I had to choose one new trend that I love the most, it would have to be the vengeful floral pattern revolution. This spring, we're actually encouraged to wear as many different patterned frocks at the same time as possible, the kitschier the better. Sure, all of the new tops I bought have patterns similar to my grandmother's 1950's taste in home furniture, but hey, I'm doing it for fashion.
I was trying to find shoes that would go with this color-crazy ensemb, but then I realized, nothing goes better with this craziness than my converse chucks. Kristin Stewart would be so proud...
What trends are you most excited to get your hands on? For all you other fashionable ladies on a budget, you keep fighting the good fight.

Those heels are gorgeous! Love the colour xx
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying all the pastel colors and I've added two lace dresses to my closet. The Duchess of Cambridge is a big fashion inspiration to me! Thanks for scouting out these deals!
